The Adelaide Trotter Reece Scholarship
$500 will be awarded to a man or woman found to be most suitable based on eligibility. The scholarship will be renewable as long as qualifications continue to be met and funds are available. The money will be given to Western Piedmont Community College in the recipient’s name.
Eligibility
Applicant must have applied and been accepted into a health science program at Western Piedmont Community College. Nursing program is preferred, but not required.
Must be a resident of Burke County
3.0 (‘B’) or better grade point average (must provide current transcript)
Financial Need (must provide FAFSA form)

Selection Criteria
Applicants will be selected as finalists on the basis of their application, academic accomplishments, financial need and letters of recommendation. Finalists will be invited for a required interview with members of the Morganton Service League scholarship committee. Interview date: Saturday, March 25, 2006. Time and location TBA.
Application Deadline
